… schon seit meinem siebten Lebensjahr fotografiere ich mit wachsender Begeisterung. Über unseren lokalen Fotoclub konnte ich die verschiedensten Stile und technischen Möglichkeiten ausprobieren. In all den Jahren sah ich in der Fotografie auch immer eine Kunstform. Darüber wollte ich mich ausdrücken. So spiegeln mein Bilder auch immer die verschiedenen Lebensumstände wider, in denen man sich im Laufe seines Lebens wiederfindet. Fotos sind eben oder manchmal auch leider der Spiegel der Seele.
Fotografie ist aber auch ein Geben und Nehmen. In der Zusammenarbeit mit dem Model oder Auftraggeber entstehen neue kreative Ideen, die mich immer wieder aufs neue faszinieren. Die unendlichen Möglichkeiten der Kreativität sind ein Teil dieser Faszination Fotografie.
Meine Schwerpunkte liegen eindeutig in der Reise- und Portraitfotografie. Eine alte Kamera, keine weiteren technischen Hilfsmittel, natürliches Licht und maximal eine weitere Person als Helfer, so arbeite ich am Liebsten. Der Grund liegt einfach darin, dass ich meine Emotionen, die Freude und die Beziehung zum Model nicht durch irgendwelche Technik überlagern möchte. Ich will die Situation fühlen und dieses Gefühl muss auf das Foto. Daraus ergibt sich mein Stil. Fotografiere ich Menschen, möchte ich mich auf die Person einstellen, den Charakter auf das Foto bannen. So nehme ich mir für eine Fotoshooting grundsätzlich ausreichend Zeit. Manche Fotos erzählen eine Geschichte, andere dokumentieren. Wieder andere beschreiben oder preisen an. Egal welche Art von Fototermin gebucht wird, es soll Spaß machen – für alle Beteiligten.

… since I was seven years old I have been photographing with growing enthusiasm. Through our local photo club I could try out different styles and technical possibilities. In all these years I have always seen photography as an art form. That’s what I wanted to express myself about. So my pictures also always reflect the different life circumstances in which one finds oneself in the course of one’s life. Photos are just or sometimes unfortunately the mirror of the soul.
But photography is also a give and take. In the cooperation with the model or client new creative ideas arise, which fascinate me again and again. The infinite possibilities of creativity are a part of this fascination photography.
My focus is clearly on travel and portrait photography. An old camera, no further technical aids, natural light and at most another person as helper, that’s how I like to work. The reason is simply that I don’t want to overlay my emotions, the joy and the relationship to the model with any technique. I want to feel the situation and this feeling has to be on the photo. That’s my style. When I photograph people, I want to adjust to the person, to capture the character in the photo. So I always take enough time for a photo shoot. Some photos tell a story, others document it. Still others describe or praise. No matter what kind of photo session is booked, it should be fun – for all participants.
